She is not an adventurous type
in and of itself but due to her
position and the fact that she
has befriended several people
who are dangerous, she does
sometimes become a target.
What is one of the funniest
moments?
There are two that come to
mind. One was a roleplay with
Hippolyta, queen of the Am-
azons where Edie engaged
her in a two hour conversation
about bedhangings or cloak
trim as a wedding gift for a
mutual friend, not realizing
that Hippolyta was kindly hu-
moring her, had no idea what
she was talking about and was
steadily drinking more and
more to get through it.
Another one was when, after
an incident with White Knight,
she was so afraid that war
might be brewing that she
journeyed all the way to Hall of
Shadows (now Valor's Keep)
with no one except Master
Sergeant Gerben.
It was storming and by the
time she arrived in the hall to
see Rutger Verrier (who had no
idea of this) she was soaked,
her thoughts were all muddled
and the only thing she could
say of her remembered speech
was "My head will not be deliv-
ered in a sack to Valor's Keep!"
which was not exactly the
opening line she had in mind.
What is one of the saddest
moments?
When you play for 15 years..
you lose people, some deaths
were 'just' characters, others
were players who live forever
on in my heart. Any funeral..
reduced her, and her player, to
tears.
Aside from those... when she
finally bid farewell to Sighe-
helm of Kent in a letter, after
realizing that without his
mother's approval their court-
ship would never be a betroth-
al or marriage and that Wind-
storm needed an heir.
It was extremely poignant to
write.
Loosing Phelan Wolf
to the darkness is something
that to this day hurts her.
Also.. the day that Emaine
Mancha fell... has forever had
an enormous impact on her.
The aftermath of that... the
people that forever changed
that day...

Jelckema?
Kindness, naivety, and loyalty..

your character:
Kind, gentle, strong, meek,
hopeful
What has impacted your
character most and how?
First, becoming a queen. It
was not something that was
planned, either on the player
or the character level and both
she and her player put up a
lot of resistance. She grew
up as very minor nobility. She
doesn't believe she has the
bloodlines that would qualify
her for the throne.
Yet she has held it for nearly
10 years now. Then becoming
a wife and a mother.
The first
has given her a bit more con-
fidence, the second is starting
to imbue her with a different
perspec
tive.
What are her greatest fears?
Losing another person to the
darkness, and losing her child.
What are her biggest regrets
and why?
Not knowing what happened
to her father, and not being
able to prevent Phelan's de-
scent into darkness.
Do you think a leader should
be feared, liked or ?
Loved.
Love will make people do more
for others. People will give
more for love than anything.
Is Edfeil Stormblade de
Jelckema a leader or a follow-
er?
I would say she is a natural
follower who is forced to be a
leader and is adapting to that.
If Edfeil Stormblade de
Jelckema was an animal,
which one would she want to
be?
A cat. One of those fireplace
lap cats.
