For this issue I managed
snagged a short interview
with DJ Care. The name of
her show is
ThrowBack
Thursday.
1.When does your show air?
It’s on Thursdays and I host them
from all over, sometimes in The
Edge Room, The Big Slice, other
times in chatter owned rooms.
2.How long have you been a DJ?
Somewhere around 7 months.
3.What type of music is your
favorite?
The 90s rock, 80s boy bands, Rock,
Heavy Rock, Classical, Instrumental,
Classic Rock, I listen to all sorts of
styles and kinds.
4.What type is your least favorite?
Old country
5.Were you nervous the first time
you went on air?
Oh yes I was, very nervous, I was
shaking because of it -laughs-
6.What kind of training did you
need before starting at The Edge?
None, I mean Addiction was good
with helping set me up with spitfire
that helped me with getting the
programs set up and then she ran
through it once with me but that’s
about all.
7.What kind of skills do you feel
a DJ needs to have to be good at
what they do?
You must be able to talk about
whatever and music.
8.What do you think are some of
your own strong suits?
Once I got comfortable with it, I
found I loved talking about things,
I’m an open book for talking.
9.Who is your favorite music
artist?
I have two, Nickelback & Disturbed
10.Did you feel that there were
any hurdles that made you pause
before deciding to do this?
Yes there was, I felt that it would be
difficult. That I wouldn’t be good at
it but Honesty it was nerves.
11.Has anything happened on
your show that had you in stitches
with laughter?
Well, when I had the Say anything
show with Joy DJ XXX, we talked
about sex toys and she showed me
something she had that had me in
stitches that I shared with Listeners
in a room
12.What advice would you give to
someone who wants to become a
DJ and has no experience in this?
Just jump right into it, or Test try it
with another deejay.
Don’t be afraid of it.
