Q.
What kind of goals (if
any) do you have for him?
To make him a worthy president.
Q.
Is he ever hard to write?
He can be, but I feel that can be
with any character, honestly. It de-
pends on my mood, outside influ-
ences, who I’m writing with, etc…
Q.
Have you ever written
something then wondered
“wtf?” If so what did Slick do
that you were not expecting?
If I have, I can’t recall it right now.
I’m pretty cerebral about my posts,
so everything is pretty organic (at
least I think so).
Q.
If you the writer were
ever to meet Slick the character
what do you think that would
be like?
Intimidating.
Q.
What other things
would you like us to know
about Slick?
He always means well. He loves
women, and he’s never out to hurt
anyone unless they give him rea-
son to. He cares about everyone in
the club and anyone coming to it,
because in his experience they are a
community for the disenfranchised,
lost or wandering.
Q.
What made you decide
to try online roleplaying?
A desire to write and play out the
ideas roving in my imagination.
Q.
How long have you been
roleplaying?
Roughly thirteen years.
Q.
What is your favorite
and least favorite genre?
My favorite has grown to be the
Realistic/Crime genre, though I
do enjoy VtM and all WoD. Least
favorite might be saddled with LKH,
after a growing distaste for most
of the community; or Gor, since it
never caught my fancy.
Q.
What advice would you
give to someone new to online
role-play?
Ask questions. Take notes. Study
your influences, be it movies, tele-
vision, or books. Read a lot, both
books and other people’s roleplay. It
will help develop you as a player.
But on the same note, don’t sweat
the small stuff, don’t let it come
between you and real life, and always
make it about fun… when it stops
being fun, it will kill your motiva-
tion and sour your writing.
We here at
ReVo Magazine
would like to thank the writer be-
hind Slick for his time in giving us
this interview!
