Page 12 - ReVo-Christmas-Issue

Basic HTML Version

This year, for something special
for the designers that call ReVo
their home, I decided to do
something I used to love as a child
- a tradition that many families
have today still.
I decided to do an
Advent Calen-
dar.
For many of us, the advent
calendar is a way for us to count
down the days to Christmas
morning, but for me it was some-
thing special that my parents did
for my siblings and I.
We looked forward to opening
the calendar and finding that little
treat of candy, or even a small gift,
for that day. I took this happy
memory and applied it to the
design world.
To make this idea work I asked for
help from those on ReVo, and the
response was great. I have to say
that
blackrabbit, Joy Naomi, ares,
spitfire, Morphine and Hippolyta
were so generous in their
donations for this 25 day event.
Thank you, ladies, for all that you
gave me!
Everyday, starting on December 1,
when I woke up and signed onto
my computer, I placed onto the
Grafica board a surprise for those
of the ReVo Designing Community.
These were small things, like
Colorings, Curves, Textures, Styles,
qGradients, Brushes; just a little
something to help inspire them.
Anything that was found for free,
donated and, even more so, made
by these ladies were added to the
advent calendar, as a way to give to
our community.
If you haven't already been
collecting, you still have a few days
left to gather the goodies!
Come by Grafica's message
board and see what we have, but
remember one thing: each day
of goodies is only up for one day,
and the next day there will be new
treats!
I’m happy to announce that this is
something that will be happening
each year;
Hosted by me, Care.
