in her life. This time when she
rushed out of the amphitheatre
she ended up in modern day
Prague. The change of worlds
was becoming second nature
by now and Lily took no notice
of it - just kept walking. At
least until an officer appeared
out of nowhere and lurched all
over her shoes! She ended up
with two dead women and an
officer turned jilted lover turned
murderer in this sequence. In
the end it was either kill or be
killed and twice in this dream
sequence Lily had pulled the
trigger and taken a life without
a second thought.
Back on Gor again the chip
was starting to peel and the
edge of her chutzpah was
emerging. It had been nearly
a week and she was still here
in this crazy tilt-a-whirl dream
and Lily had decided to just go
with it. A couple of the other
dancers had already sought
her out and explained about
the dance competition. Lily
was in the finals (albeit dancing
against one of the greatest
dancers on Gor) and expected
to dance again. She met an
officer from Long Beach, Gwen,
and was starting to make
friends. It turned out that her
new friends (except Gwen)
were not her friends after all.
Lily was betrayed and her final
dance turned from spiritual and
elegant to torture and tears.
The scene quickly turned from
one of submission to hilarity
when Lily found herself driving
the getaway car in the old west
for a handful of idiot clowns
out to steal a lucky rabbit's foot.
The greatest heist of all time!
“Honey? Honey, are you
awake?” It was her mother’s
voice. A voice she hadn’t
heard in nearly a year. Then...
“Tommy, she’s awake!” Lily’s
eyes fluttered open when she
heard her mother call out to…
her father? Her father was
here? That was when the
flutter turned into a slit and the
slit turned into full on eyelid
lifting. Lily could tell she was in
the hospital. This time instead
of Adonis and plastic she was
looking at her parents. Her real
parents.
Somehow all of the running
away and hiding her identity
didn’t matter anymore. Her
parents were together, he had
his hand on her shoulder and
they were looking at her with
concern and… love in their
eyes. Yep. Definitely, love.
Maybe Gor didn’t really exist.
Nor zombies or magical
creatures. Maybe all of it (save
for the shooting a Bastard and
taking a shot herself when she
escaped from the hospital)
was in her head. Either way,
Lily learned a few things about
herself over the last couple of
days.
How to load a cannon.
How to survive a zombie
apocalypse.
Not to take candy from
strangers.
How to solve a murder mystery
in fifteen minutes or less.
How to drive a stick.
And, most of all, that when the
chips are down and all cards
are on the table? She does not
hesitate. Pull the trigger!
