I didn't have a huge part within
this tournament as Caldin did,
He was the host, he set the
rules and the brackets.
It was a long and drawn out
process that took a mere
week to set up and a Week
and a Day to play out. And
finally we Crowned a winner of
the Tournament of Legends,
Aegeus Iskindler.
I took a moment and sat down
with Caldin Vend and got his
outlook on this tournament a
bit.
Care:
I want to know your overall
experience with this
Tournament as a Host, and
what you learned from it?
Caldin Vend:
What I learned.. well a I learned
a lot.. I learned that running a
global event is not all fun and
games and I was honestly
surprised at the amount of
work it took to bring everything
together to a successful end.
With the times issues the anon
issues and the other issues that
ran rampant there were times
I was wondering if anything is
going right.
OVerall I had a blast and loved
the experience it brought
people together and helped
others learn things about the
fellow gorean players.
Care:
So the Anonymous Fighters,
that was your idea, and how did
it truly come about? Did it work
in your opinion?
Caldin Vend:
I think it worked to a point.. I
wanted the fighters to remain
completely unknown so that
it would be a big reveal at the
end but as we know people like
to well.. show off and it swiftly
turned into a game of "guess
the fighter"
Care:
And the Dice rolling for
weapons, How did you think
that worked out until the
end? Where you held the
Participation from the Audience.
Caldin Vend:
The Dice rolling of weapons I
am really happy with it ended
up being a fun part of the spars
in my opinion it challenged the
fighters and made them have to
adapt to change.
The Audience participation I
think could have gone better
and smoother but I learned from
it therefore I would not count it
as a total loss.
Care:
Now the big question, through
out this experience is there
anything you would do
Tournament of Legends
Written by Care
A tournament hosted by Caldin Vend of Port Kar, was held in the glorious Colosseum of Legends
within our Very own Gor Unchained Section of the who chat. This event brought 8 fighters
together, in a bracket fights to determine the winner of the Tournament. Now for many who
do not know, there goes a lot into Hosting an event such as this, rules that must be posted,
organizing, and prizes to be had. Caldin Vend and my help put together this event for your
viewing pleasure.
