We’re off to a phenomenal start for this year, and this edition’s Look Forward is going
to start with a look back, because the heart of our community over the past year is what
has, and will continue to, drive us into the future. Can you believe we gave away over
$4800.00 in prizes last year? Think about that and how amazing that number is. We
had giveaways on The Edge radio station that went from gift cards all the way up to
Drop Kick Murphy concert tickets! We had prizes during membership drives that ranged
from tremendous psychic readings and Ouija boards to ghost hunting kits! We had gifts
shipped to the Land Down Under, to the UK, and to Canada and we had genuine Sami
bracelets shipped from Sweden. Memberships, from 2 month starters all the way up to
lifetimes, that were gifted from people and the site, gift cards ranging from $5-$100 that
were given back for purchases and that were donated to events. And that figure doesn’t
include all the amazing graphic and resource packages that we can’t even put a price tag
on.
Simply amazing.
When I went back through to research that number for this article, I was blown away by
the generosity of everyone as a whole when it comes to the community we are building
here on ReVo. It definitely keeps my creativity and determination to give my all to our
site going strong because you all deserve a home online that we each and all can be
proud of. You all have my respect and gratitude for the steps taken to achieve that by
every person that calls ReVo home. Heading into the next couple of months, the rooms
inside have already seen a couple different makeovers and will likely see more while we
work on numerous projects. Almost unanimously we decided on how to design the top
of the rooms and while I didn’t hit it for everyone in the first offerings, with feedback and
constructive reasonings for people’s opinions, we found an option that nearly everyone
could agree to. With many more ideas on our agenda, we will continue to work with
together to achieve the optimal results.
I want to give a shout-out to all of those bringing about projects, both ongoing and new,
to ReVo. Those working on this magazine for ReVo, those joining in on ReVoActive,
those contributing and managing ReVo Readers, those working on The Edge radio
station for ReVo, those working on events for ReVo, those contributing to ReVo’s
facebook page, those in my house that deal with my insanity while trying to learn how
to program new ideas and especially Addiction who ends up solving most of them with
or for me. Those that contribute to our prize pools, those that come up with new and
creative room concepts, those that play actively in the rooms. All of this is our future
because we see already how many of these ideas can carry over and be with us for a
long time, and also how they eVolve into the next new thing.
Looking ahead and our horizon continues to grow brighter, ReVo. But it was great to
look back over things this past year and realize just how much everyone together, can
accomplish. My final thought for this edition:
“Be careful, be very careful, about the limitations others, and especially you, try to put on
you ... and which ones you believe.”
